From Animal Science to Social Impact
Ana Catarina is an international consultant with over 15 years of experience in sustainable rural development, climate change adaptation, and community empowerment. Her academic journey began with a degree in Animal Science from the University of Évora (2000–2006), followed by a Master’s in Animal Science at the University of Lisbon (2010–2012), where she specialized in tropical livestock, rural development, and food security. This strong foundation gave her the tools to combine scientific expertise with practical solutions for some of today’s most pressing global challenges.
Ana Catarina's career has taken her across continents: from Portugal to Angola, Mozambique, Brazil, and New Zealand, where she has developed a strategic vision and the ability to deliver high-impact outcomes in diverse contexts. As an international consultant, she has led and coordinated complex projects, built strategic partnerships, promoted environmentally conscious approaches, and worked to improve livelihoods in underserved communities.
